Advent Daybook - Day 23

Reflection:

Go meet your Blessed Mother.  Lead her to the manger of your heart and be her to lay the Divine Infant in it.  Shorten your chats and telephone conversations and spend more time today thinking of Jesus and Mary and Joseph.  Come, dear Jesus, Come.  My heart longs for You.

Bible Verses:

Here are the last two verses:

If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for by doing so you will heap burning colas upon his head.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Thoughts from Mass:

We got up early, despite everyone's groaning (even my own), and got to the church in time only to find out that apparently Father wasn't saying Mass this morning.  That is always a big bummer.  Oh well, we eagerly anticipate tonight's Midnight Mass.  The three older girls will sing in the choir, Mr 12 yo gets to serve and my husband will be an usher.  That leaves me and Ms 14 yo, Ms 9 yo and Mr 7 yo in the pew together.  To me, this Mass is what makes Christmas!

Advent Activities:

This morning brings the final preparations:  a few presents that I forgot to wrap, another batch of fudge and maybe one batch of cookies, a lot of hairdos and nails to be done!  May you all find peace during these final hours of Advent!

God Bless!
